Loving books

Daddy reads his recent favorite book before going to bed

The books he picked for me to read many mornings now

My darling little boy truly enjoys the books, it is usually the first and last thing he requests in the morning and also in the evening. One of his recent favorite book is called "Royal Boil" and I was a bit tired to read it by the bedtime because I may have read it like 10 times this day so I asked James to read it to him and he still listened to it like it was the very first time. Most mornings, James is such a sweetheart, he'd get Mason out of his crib when he wakes up. The routine is that he'd come wake me up with a big smile and I'd request for morning hugs and kisses. Then the very next thing, he asks to read books so I'd say go to your room and get a book. For many mornings, he'd pick one book and have me read it for a few times. Just other day, he started to pick up over 10 at the time and requested me to read it. I was NOT awake yet but after seeing that pile of books that needed to be read and Mason's serious face about the request. I am fully awake with a content heart. He is just so lovable and I love you so much - Mason!

Early 2nd Birthday party for Mason

                                Cutting the cake

Swimming in a circle with Daddy

                    Enjoying the cake

With sweet Lizzy (I love the way she poses, like a little lady already)

                            Swimming away

We simply don't know when Isabelle decides to come out and meet anyone. She may surprise us any day now so we decided to celebrate Mason's birthday earlier at the water park with his friends. He had so much fun swimming and splashing the water. Even when we were outside of the waterpark, he still asked to swim more. We adore how much he crazy about the water and have no fear in it. He swims with excitement. He also jumps into the pool from the ledge though he would drink in some water it does not bother him a bit; the very next thing he would say is "again." Swimming with Mason in the cooling waves makes us wish that we also can't touch the bottom too! He swims along strong as ever, never-stopping and pretty much smiling and chatting the whole time through to Lizzy, Jayden and Little James Robinson. Also, Mason learned how to cut the cake. We all had a great time, Happy birthday Mason!

Sweet Mason

Each day when we leave the house, Mason would be out of the door before I do because I still need to luck the door. The first thing he would be doing is getting my shoes ready for me. I have never asked or taught him to do so, he simply starts to do it out of blue one day. Yes, as a typical mommy, this melts my heart! My almost 2 year old is being sweet to me. The normal terrible twos still comes up every once in a while but he does mature in many ways and I just love and adore him so much!

Mason cannot have a greater Daddy

I know that Mason cannot ask for a greater daddy and I cannot ask for a better husband. James is simply a big kid himself, when you hear him playing with Mason; I truly think no one can refrain from a smile or laugh. They are always my favorite moments of the day-to see them play and interact together. Mason adores and loves him so much that no one can take his daddy figure from him. We love you so much and thank you! Happy Father's Day!

Fulong beach

James and Mason out in the water.

with Kay and the little ones-baby James and Jadyn

Mason and Jadyn were a good team

with Rowland family but our kids are both cut out from the shot

It was over 30 degree (86F), so he was NOT cold.

                   Mason and his floaty suit

I'm ready to destroy whatever you making, daddy.

What a FUN day at the beach, the sun was shinning, the company was awesome and the waves were great. We simply love spending times at the beach. I wish I can have more of it but my prego status may not able to take in the heat anymore. We'll see...

North tip of Taiwan

Reading the history of the North-tip light house

Late January, on the trip down to Kenting we made it to the very south-tip point of Taiwan and now we have as promised made it to the North-tip point of Taiwan with the Grimelys. The view was great but the day was super humid that I literally felt 10 pounds heavier.

Last Zoo visit in Taipei?

                   Mason adores baby James

What? Is there a tiger behind me?

                  Mason's favorite playmate/friend-Lizzy

Mason cannot take his eyes off the brown bear

Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic zoo but when we got there before 10 AM, I truly believe that we can cook some eggs on the ground. It was SOOOOOO HOT and I thought to myself, WHY am I here again? WHY do I want to endure the unnecessary heat when I have a heater on me? WHY am walking I in a big zoo when my tail bone kills me? At the end of the day, I was so glad that I did it and it was worthy it to see Mason smiles and laughs with his friends and got so excited seeing the animals. I also enjoyed spending time with my friends too especially it was the last visit with Leone and her boys. It was a blast!

An afternoon down at the creek

Only a tunnel away, there is a long creek by our place. We went there on this lazy afternoon. It was during weekday and this gave us the pleasure to enjoy the nature more. It was relaxing to hear the sound of the water. Mason had lots of fun throwing the rocks into the water, especially the big ones. He loved 'trying' to walk in the water and 'trying' to get the dragonflies.

Water park--my boy is swimming

Jadyn and Mason enjoying their lunch

The whole play group having lunch

Summer is REALLY here in Taipei and we love visiting the water park in the city. There are fun slides and kiddie pool for Mason as well as a lazy river. I got him this swimming suit that is packed with floaty (it looks almost like he is carrying bombs^^) and he was able to swim all by himself now. At first, he was tipping a lot so he got a bit scared of sinking in the water. Then once he got a hang of it, he was going and going, just like an enigizer bunny in the water. We're so proud of him and so fun looking at "walking" in the water and having such blast.

Baby shower

Thanks to Lori who organized and threw me a wonderful baby shower. Thank you ALL ladies for the beautiful girly gifts for Isabelle. We are so loved! It was such a fun ladies night out at Mac. Grill, the food was amazing and I cannot find a better company to hand out with.

zoo

Mason is no exception than other children who simply crazy about animals. He has so many favorite animals so when the list is so long, does it still consider the favorites? He adores elephants, turtles, fish, lions, monkey, bears, pandas...etc. This was only his 2nd trip to the zoo but he is at the age that he really knows how to enjoy the zoo. He ran to see the next animal and he screamed when he saw them. Then he had trouble leaving there to see the next one. He really looked at them closely and studied their movements unlike adults who would just have a glance at the animals. I wish I can take him there more often but it is too HOT now in Taipei, I think we will visit the pool more.

Science Center

                               Making giant bubbles

                             Going to be an astronaut

                            Riding on a square bike

                            Spin on the spinning machine

                             Having a physic observation
                                Ball battle begins...

Our original plan was to visit the bouncy town in the science center but the bouncy town was no longer there. Nevertheless, we had fun visiting the 6 floors science center. There were so many bottons for Mason to play with and lots of science projects for him to experience though he may not understand much of them; well, I mean I don't even get half of them. It was so long ago when I took any chemistry or physic classes. The one he understood very well was the giant bubble machine maker, they were able to make an almost adult size bubble. He was so fascinated with the 'ball dropping' display, it was outside of the center; we thought we don't even need to purchase any ticket to go in the center since he already spent most of his time out here. Before we left, he had decided to be an astronaut, I love his expression that he even looked up in the picture. It was so much fun exploring the science center.
