we love camping

We really love camping! We love being soaked in God's creation, we feel so blessed to live so close to all these postcard scenaries. We surely made the most of our trip this time but we honetly love every moment (well, almost all the moments except when the kids were screaming in the tent and refused to sleep). We went to 3 campsites, visited 4 lakes; 1 fall, 3 towns in 2 national parks and 1 provoial park in 4 days. We weren't rushing at all but because the kids always wake up so early, we had plenty of time to do lots of things. Here are some of our family fun:

1st night, we arrived lated @ Two Jacks campsite, Banff. Isabelle tried to start the campfire for us

Mason checked around the campsite when we tried to get the tent and dinner ready

 Takakaw Falls, Yoho National Park

Isabelle loved her natural "blocks" at the creek, Yoho

 Hiking up to the falls
Isabelle was trying to feed the gopher some flowers

 She did it without efforts

A beautiful playground at Yoho National Park town area

to Isabelle its just another fun slide but we just adore the mountains

 breakfast time at the campsite

 beautiful campsite @ Protection Mlt.

the walk to the washroom at campsite

 just love Moraine Lake

Isabelle still sits still for me, Lake Minnewanka; Banff

Mason tried NOT to get wet at the beach site

 Quarry Lake; Canmore; Kananaskis Country

a short hike up to Moraine Lake, Lake Louise Area

Feeling Latino...

Last year, we had the chance to go to a Spanish Harlem Orchestra as a family. It was the very first time for the little ones and though the kids could only last for the first half of the concert it was super fun experience we had together. Last weekend, we made it to Latin Festival and since it was outdoor we only had trouble getting the kids to leave than keeping them there. It was such a beautiful day in downtown and we all enjoyed the music. The kids couldn't keep the feet still with the upbeat live music around them.

do you think the chair is a bit too big for I?

 Calgary tower as Mason's hat

can you tell that she like the mini dounut?

do you think Daddy enjoy the massage?

 M. found a playmate and they couldn't stop running and we didn't mind at all

another relaxing day at K-country

We are so blessed to live in Calgary where we have a beautiful backyard-the Kananskis Country (about 40-60 mins drive from the city). Out of blue, we decided to go into the mountains so we went to K-country. Since it was a day trip and that means easy work for mommy, I actually felt so lazy and relaxed because I didn't need to do much of packing. We simply chill around the lake and river...just because.

trying to take a shot at Elbow Fall
tried the water- it was cold

throwing rocks to the lake
Isabelle screamed to the wind
Isabelle spent her time playing nature blocks, in the shapes I cannot named

Happy Canada Day

It was certainly a perfect day to celebrate Canada's birthday. We had so much fun at Heritage Park. There were lots of activties, shows and games. The kids did take a nap so we all stayed up for the fireworks, which we only walked down a couple blocks since we actually had a good downtown view there. This was such a fun family day!
