Is it that hard???

There are many things that I enjoy ever since moving back to Canada but it is certainly NOT the health system or service here. Especially now that I am here with children, I miss Taiwan's health care. I'm not asking much but I only want it to be available when I need it. It took 3 months for us to finally find a "part-time" family doctor to "accept" us as his new patients. Our family doctor doesn't take any regular vincination for the children. Then after a few painstaking experiences of finding the right place to do so we found that it'll take at least TWO months for my baby girl to get a regular infant shot. We just cannot believe it!!! I feel so shameful that I used to complain when I need to wait for more than 10 minutes for Mason's shots at the hospital. James and I have a couple of things that need specialists' attention than a family physican and we really don't know HOW LONG that will take...maybe it'll faster to simply travel back to Taipei for these medical needs. We used to be able to walk 3 minutes down the street and receive specialists' treatment or 1-20 minutes away to major hospitals. We have never even heard of months of wait for anything not even major surgoery.  We keep saying that we need to stay as healthy as possible!!!

  1. Annoying that it is taking you so long to get into the doctor! Down here it is faster, but we sure do have to pay for it. We spent thousands and thousands of dollars last year (had baby, ER visits with addie, Surgery for me, Dr. Appts, etc). did you have to pay alot in Taiwan?
